Online art therapy workshop with a murmuration theme
Change happens whether we are ready for it or not. It’s at these moments of transition that we most need to trust ourselves. To find our confidence in the wealth of experience and knowledge we have to navigate this change.

The stunning event of a starling murmuration is a perfect example of coming together and finding grace and movement when faced with change. To be beautifully part of a community, whilst keeping your own sense of yourself.
Through story, relaxation, visualisation, art making, free writing, reflection and sharing, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with yourself in a creative, supportive space.

What to expect over 1.5 hours
-
A gentle relaxation and guided visualisation inspired by the mumurations.
-
Time to make art in response to your experience.
-
Free writing and personal reflection.
-
The opportunity to share your experience with the group if you would like to.
This is a gentle, creative experience.
You do not need to be good at art. You do not need lots of materials.
The focus is on process, reflection, symbolism and what unfolds when you are given enough comfort, spaciousness and support.

Nature provides an endless source of strength and metaphor that can promote resilience and soothe your nervous system.
The relaxation and visualisation help to soften the constant movement of thoughts.
The art-making offers a way to explore what you find without needing to explain everything in words.
Often, what has felt unclear or out of reach begins to take shape.

About The Soothing Season
Hi, I'm Sarah, Art Therapist and creator of The Soothing Season.
I offer nature-inspired art therapy supporting women to reconnect with themselves.
Sometimes, there comes a point where things no longer feel quite right. You may have spent years caring for others, keeping things going, and putting your own needs to one side. Life may have shifted, and with a growing sense of disconnection, you feel that you want something more, even if you cannot fully name it yet.
Through art, visualisation and nature, I offer a creative way to reconnect with what matters to you, notice what you need, and find a little more calm, meaning and self-understanding.
My work is centred around helping women slow down enough to hear themselves again.

Feedback from our creative workshop participants

My workshops offer another way of connecting to nature.
