Creating New Pathways Agreement

About the programme
This is a structured six-week programme designed to explore a present-day difficulty and support you in finding a way forwards.
Structure
The programme consists of six weekly 1-hour sessions:
-
Sessions 1–2: understanding the current difficulty
-
Sessions 3–4: exploring how you would like things to be
-
Sessions 5–6: identifying ways forward
The work is designed to take place within a six-week structure.
Further work is not automatic and would need to be discussed separately.
How we work
Sessions include art-making, visualisation, and reflection. You do not need to be good at art.
Suitability
This work is not suitable for crisis or trauma processing. Alternative support can be discussed if needed.
Booking and payment
The programme is booked as a 6-session block (£500).
Payment is made either in advance or weekly via an agreed arrangement.
This is a fixed programme and payment covers the full six-session block. No refunds are given for missed sessions or if you choose to end early.
Focus of the work
At the start of the programme, we will agree a focus for our work together.
This provides a gentle structure for the six sessions. You are invited to bring what feels important within this focus to each session, and we will work with whatever emerges in a way that feels manageable and supportive.
Emotional impact
At times, this work may bring up thoughts or feelings between sessions. This is a natural part of the process of reflecting and making sense of things.
This programme is designed to offer a contained space for this exploration. Outside of sessions, you are encouraged to take care of yourself and allow space for reflection.
Attendance
You are booking a fixed weekly time. All sessions are paid for whether attended or not.
Missed sessions are not rescheduled as this is a fixed programme.
In cases such as serious illness or bereavement, I will consider some flexibility.
If I am unable to attend a session, I will rearrange it with you. You will not be charged any extra. If we are unable to rearrange, that session will be refunded.
As this is a fixed six-session programme, payment covers the full block and is non-refundable if you choose to end the work early.
Sessions begin and end at the agreed time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
Online sessions
Sessions take place online, and it is important that you join from a space where you feel able to speak freely and safely.
This work is intended to take place in a private and uninterrupted environment, to support confidentiality and allow you to engage fully in the process.
I understand that this may not always be possible for everyone. If there are practical challenges, please discuss this with me before starting.
If others are present during a session, this may affect the depth and safety of the work. In these situations, we may need to pause or reconsider how the session is taking place.
You are responsible for ensuring your device and internet connection are suitable for online sessions.
If your connection fails, the session time will continue as scheduled. If mine fails, I will ensure the full session is completed at no extra cost.
Contact between sessions
Contact outside sessions is for practical matters only.
Confidentiality
Sessions are confidential, with limits relating to risk and legal requirements. Please see the Privacy Notice for further information.
Phones and electronic devices
To support focus and confidentiality:
-
Please silence phones and notifications
-
Recording (audio, video, screenshots) is not permitted
-
Please avoid unnecessary use of phones or other devices during sessions (e.g. calls or texting)
I do not record sessions. On occasion, we may agree to record a guided visualisation for your personal use. This would only be done with your clear consent.
Recording and artwork
Artwork created in sessions is part of the therapeutic process.
Your artwork is your own and stays with you
I recommend not sharing your artwork on social media until the sessions are complete. This allows you to process what you are learning without the influence of other people’s opinions.
I do not use or share your artwork without your explicit consent
Social media
I maintain a professional and art-based online presence.
To protect confidentiality:
-
I do not engage with clients about therapeutic work on social media
-
I do not offer therapy or respond to personal messages via social platforms
-
All communication about sessions is via email only
I will not acknowledge participants as clients online or discuss personal matters via social media.
Emergency information
This information is collected for use in emergency situations only.
At the start of our work, I will ask you to provide:
-
Your location during each session
-
An emergency contact
-
Your GP details
As sessions take place online, confirming your location enables me to contact emergency services if needed.
If emergency services are contacted during a session, I will also contact your emergency contact to let them know what has happened.
Your GP details are held as a precaution, in line with professional practice, and would only be used in rare and serious circumstances where additional support is needed.
All information is stored securely as part of your record. Please see the Privacy Notice for further information on how your data is stored and used.
